Municipal offices, banks, schools and local transit services have announced planned closings in observance of Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2.
Town offices in both Pulaski and Dublin will be taking the state holiday off, and will resume normal office hours Tuesday, Sept. 3. Also joining them for a day off will be Pulaski County Administration, Pulaski County Public Service Authority (PSA), post offices and all area banks.
Students of Pulaski County Public Schools will get one last chance at sleeping in on a Monday before summer’s official end, as the school system will also observe the holiday. Students and teachers will return to classes Sept. 3.
Garbage pickup schedules also will be affected by the holiday, as Dublin town garbage pickups scheduled for Monday will instead be picked up with Tuesday’s regular pickup. PSA also announces that large item drop sites and recycling centers located on Dora Highway in Pulaski, Bagging Plant Road in Dublin and Mason Street in Fairlawn will all be closed Sept. 2.
