Kemel Raymond Nester, age 81, of Pulaski, died early Monday morning Aug. 26, 2013 at Highland Ridge Rehabilitation Center. He was born April 17, 1932, and was the son of the late Guida Dalton Nester and Otis Nester.
He was a member, along with his wife Willie, of Anderson Memorial Presbyterian Church. He was a retired employee of AT&T, and a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the United States Army and the United States Air Force.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers. He is survived by his devoted wife, Willie Dean Asper Nester; one brother, Talmadge Nester and wife June of Pulaski; and sister, Virginia Smith of Draper.
Graveside Military Honors will be held at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, Thursday, Aug. 29 at 11 a.m., along with the Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home.
