Evelyn Marie Carroll, 81, left this world and went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013 in the Pulaski Health and Rehab Center.
She was born in Pulaski County June 10, 1932, and was the daughter of the late Ira Augusta Smith and Darrell Eldridge Comer Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lee Wyatt Carroll; one sister, Nancy Etta Bullis, and by one great-granddaughter, Thelma Maddison Louise Dawn Tabor.
Surviving are her children and spouses, Roger Lee and Sandy Carroll, Linda Marie and Floyd Lawson, Stella Louise Tabor and partner, Douglas Cross, and Charles Allen Carroll; brother, George Early Augusta Smith; sister, Ruth Elizabeth Price; special adopted sister, Sadie Bentley; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was a loving, caring, wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved her family dearly, but her heart was always the Lord’s and now she’s with Him. She was very loved and is already missed by her family. The family expresses special thanks to all of the nurses, CNA’s and Dr. Williams at Pulaski Health and Rehab.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 31, 2 p.m., from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wilfred Overton officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. Visiting will be Friday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m.
