The final show of the Jackson Park Concert Series will take the audience back to a simpler time through the tunes of the Magic Moments band.
Citizens are invited to come out to Jackson Park Friday, Aug. 23, and get their toes tapping and bodies moving to songs of the past, such as “Stand By Me,” “Under the Boardwalk,” “Mustang Sally,” “Crazy” and “My Girl.” However, the Magic Moments perform more than oldies and beach tunes; they also play favorite selections from four decades of music.
Band members Bobby Nash, Joe Weddle, David Bennett, Caroline Crist and Jimmy Clark take to the stage 6:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 23. The park opens at 5 for concessions by Kathy and Jim’s Sabrett Hot Dogs from Wytheville.
Bring your lawn chairs or blankets for this free event, sponsored by town of Pulaski and Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley. Jackson Park is between the railroad tracks and First Street in northwest Pulaski.
In the event of rain, the concert will be held at Pulaski Theatre, 14 W. Main St., Pulaski.
