The increasingly popular First Friday classic movie night at Pulaski Theatre will have to be canceled this month due to a licensing issue with the movie studio.
According to theatre volunteer Jill Sandidge, a licensing problem is preventing the theatre from being able to receive permission to show this Friday night’s movie, “Patton.”
She said Friends of Pulaski Theatre President Bob McKinney worked all day Tuesday trying to resolve the problem but was unsuccessful in getting the movie company to approve the license in time for Friday night’s scheduled showing.
Not having proper licensing to show the film could result in the theatre being sued and that is a risk they do not wish to take.
