Leona Crockett Trail

Leona Crockett Trail, 70 of Pulaski, passed away at home Saturday, July 20, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard V. and Winifred M. Crockett; brothers, Richard, Charles and Frederick Crocket, and sister, Ellen Bentley. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, James G. Crockett and wife, Peggy, of New Iberia, La; sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Crockett of Christiansburg, and many special nieces and nephews.

Leona was employed over 25 years by Dr. Kenneth Fleenor. She was a graduate of Pulaski High School.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the Carilion Hospice Staff from Radford for their dedicated professionalism and support to the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Susan G. Komen foundation for the fight against breast cancer.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 25, from 6-8 p.m. at the Stevens Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 26 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating at the Oakwood Cemetery.

    There is no words that can fill the emptiness in my heart. Im so glad i got to meet you and become your friend. You taught me alot andi will use then through out my life. You inspired me to do better and Know there is someone else that has bigger problems than your own.

    My condolence goes out to the family of this special lady. She was certainly one of a kind & a very strong individual. She must have fought a hard fight during this illness for she was never one to give up easily. Rest in peace Leona, you will forever be remembered.
