The former recreation league soccer coach indicted earlier this year for taking indecent liberties with a minor is back in jail.
Pulaski Police Chief Gary Roche said officers responded to a “domestic situation” at Russell K. Simpson’s home on Mathews Court just after 10 p.m. Thursday. He said Simpson was taken into custody on two counts of domestic assault and battery against his wife and step-son.
Simpson remained in custody at New River Valley Regional Jail Friday morning in lieu of $5,000 unsecured bond.
Roche said in May that a Pulaski County Grand Jury returned three indecent liberties indictments against Simpson, 43, in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred in 2006 and 2010.
