Edna Elizabeth Bevil Isbill

Edna Elizabeth Bevil Isbill of Draper passed away Friday, July 12, 2013 in Carilion New River Valley Medical Center.

Born May 2, 1938 in Pulaski, she was the daughter of the late James Roy Bevil and Mildred Sayers Bevil. Her husband, William Donald Isbill; son, Brian William Isbill; brother, Herman Bevil and sister, Ann Reese also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Isbill was a graduate of Radford University and received her Master’s degree in Sociology.

Surviving are her daughter, Teresa Isbill and Jeff Sheets of Staffordsville; grandchildren, Athena Thornton of Pulaski and Joshua and Allison Isbill of Draper; sisters, Irene Blankenship of Pulaski, Jean Caravas and husband, Pete, of Portsmouth; Christie Byrd and husband, Charlie, of Draper, and Barbara “Bobbie” Cook of Wirtz, and brother, James Roy Bevil of Christiansburg.

A private family interment will be at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 16 from 5 – 7 p.m. in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski.
