With the first tournament of the Tuesday night fishing season out of the way, the Rockhouse Marina put together two more successful outings over the past two weeks.

Dennis Fox and Brian Mann

The second tournament of the season was held on Tuesday, May 14, and just week one it took a nice bag to take home the money.

First place honors went to Dennis Fox and Brian Mann, who weighed in a five fish limit of 14.55 pounds.   Jason Adams and Eric Friend took second place with 11.08 pounds.  The big largemouth prize went to Fox and Mann for their 6.47 pound catch.  Big smallmouth honors went Adams and Friend for their 2.85 pounder.

The third tournament took place on May 21.   First place honors went to Jason Adams and Eric Friend who weighed in a five fish limit of 16.14 pounds.  The big largemouth prize went to Trevor Myers and Tyler Thorne for their 5.22 pound catch.  Big smallmouth honors went to Todd Brown for his 2.86 pounder.

Last week saw the bite drop off a bit, and even though there were 25 boats entered it only took Jason Adams and Morgan Williams 11.70 pounds to take first place.  Second place went to Matt and Billy Martin with 7.92 pounds, and third place went to Dale and Keith Reynolds with 7.84 pounds.  Trent and Sherman Richardson brought in a 5.54 pound largemouth to take that top prize, but no smallmouth were caught in this tournament.

The tournaments run from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with a entry fee of $35 per boat per tournament.  There is also an optional big fish contest each week.

Only artificial lures are allowed, and only largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass will be weighed.  There is an 8 ounce penalty per dead fish at weigh-in.  There is a five fish per team limit each night, and there is a 12 inch size limit.  Any boat that brings in more than five fish to the scales will result in the culling of the largest fish first.  There is also a two pound penalty for bringing in a fish shorter than twelve inches.  All boats who enter must go through a boat safety check, and only two anglers are allowed per boat.
