Robert Wesley McKnight

Robert Wesley McKnight, age 34 of Pulaski, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 in the LewisGale Hospital-Pulaski.

Born April 28, 1979 in Winston-Salem, N.C., he is the son of Charles McKnight and Karen Webb Edwards.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Herbert Webb. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served in Iraq.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Nicole McKnight of Pulaski; mother, Karen Webb Edwards of Hillsville; father, Charles McKnight of Lowgap, N.C.; brother, Matthew McKnight and wife, Kaili, of Pulaski; niece, Lexi McKnight, and nephew, Aiden McKnight, of Pulaski; grandmother, Lilly Webb of Hillsville; grandparents, James and Gelene McKnight of Lowgap, N.C.; father- and mother-in-law, Jerry and Judy Sneed of Kingsport, Tenn.; sister- and brother-in-law, Julie and Sal Jimenez of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother- and sister-in-law, Jon and Morgan Sneed of Renton, Wash., and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 11 at the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. David Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin with full military honors conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. service time at Bower Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be sent to the Disabled American Veterans, Salem, or to the United States Marines Toys for Tots Foundation.
