The City of Radford’s annual concert series, Radford After Five, which was set to kick off Friday, June 21, has been postponed.
After an announcement in Wednesday’s edition of The Southwest Times, a press release was received from Main Street Radford (MSR), stating the concert scheduled for June 21 had been “postponed with a makeup date to be determined at a later time.”
Calls placed to Main Street Radford Wednesday afternoon requesting further information were not immediately returned.
The release went on to state, “As the needs of the City of Radford continue to evolve, the Main Street Radford Board of Directors are reviewing and recalibrating our promotion and economic development efforts to better serve the community.”
The release suggested people consider planning to visit one of the many restaurants throughout Radford or the newly remodeled Radford Theatre Friday evening, in place of the postponed event.
