Pulaski County Board of Supervisors memorialized Morgan Morris’ service to the county Monday night through approval of a memorial resolution.

The resolution was presented to Morris’ children, Renee Henley, Aleitha Cole and William Morgan Morris Jr.

Morris was an original member of Pulaski County Clean Community Council, serving as its chairman for five years. He was recognized in the resolution as being “very passionate about Pulaski County and active in efforts to preserve our land and waterways.”

The resolution notes, “Morris was an advocate for the need to have a Code Enforcement officer and (was) very supportive in all efforts to help clean up the county.” It states that he “had an interest in the establishment and betterment of the drop centers, recycling and liter prevention programs.”

The document commends Morris’ contributions to his family, community and the county, noting that he was “an avid worker and proponent for building a greater community.”

Morris, who served in the Navy, was retired from C&P Telephone Co.
