Irene Wilson Rash

Irene Wilson Rash, age 80, of Pulaski, died Monday, May 6, at her residence.  She was born on Jan. 14, 1933 in Russell County and was the daughter of the late Nannie Honaker Wilson and Willie Edward Wilson.  Mrs. Rash was a member of the Family Worship Center in Pulaski.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Willard E. Woodyard Sr. and Paul R. Rash, and six sisters.  

She is survived by a daughter, Peggy W. Fields and her husband, Don, of Pulaski;  a son, Eddie Woodyard of Dublin; a step-son, Rudy Rash and his wife, Sarah, of Moneta;  two brothers,  Harvey E. Wilson and his wife, Juanita, of Dublin, and Carson Wilson of Salem;  four sisters,  Phyllis W. Wiley and her husband, Harmie, of White Gate, Patsy W. Collins and her husband, Jerry, of Knoxville, Tenn., Bobbie W. Fuller and her husband, Belford, of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Lois W. Coleman and her husband, Ersil, of Vansant.  She is also survived by three grandchildren, Matthew Fields and his wife, Amanda, of Pulaski; Staci W. Allen and her husband, David, of Dublin, and Megan F. Sowers and her husband, Joe, of Pulaski; three great-grandchildren, Andrew Allen, Noah Allen and Camden Matney; two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Estep and his wife, Phyllis, of Grundy, and Doug Yates and his wife, Hassie, of Grundy, and George Rash of Dublin; special nieces and nephews, Doug Wiley and his wife, Malinda, Misty Wiley, Karly Bryant and Mason Bryant, and special neighbors,  Mike and Liz Cox of Pulaski.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 9 at 2 p.m. at the Family Worship Center, 955 Memorial Dr., Pulaski, with the Rev. Dr. C.R. Conner officiating.  Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Thursday at the church from noon until the 2 p.m. service time.  Flowers will be appreciated, but for those who wish, they may make memorial contributions in her memory to the American Diabetes Association Richmond-Petersburg, VA Office, 530 E.
