Sarah Katherine Gravely

Sarah Katherine Gravely, 82, of 4880 Brookmont Rd., Pulaski, died April 13, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her family.  She was the daughter of the late Joseph Cecil Reid and Louise Price Reid.  She was a member of the Midway Church of God of Prophecy, Pulaski.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Amos Odell Gravely, and by four brothers, Carl Chandler, Junior Reid, Richard Reid and Larry Reid.

She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, David Lee and Susan Gravely, of Pulaski, and Tommy Wayne and Janice Gravely, of Draper; sisters, Dorothy Harrelson, of Greensboro, N.C., and Brenda and Rufus Fargis, of Pleasant Garden, N.C.; granddaughters and spouses, Jenny and Alden Hess, of Chilhowie, Tonya and Nathan Lovingood, of Dublin, and Shelley and Russell Quesenberry, of Fairlawn; grandsons, Brian and Tonya Gravely, of Rural Retreat, James Thomas Gravely, of Draper, and Jay Summers, of Pulaski; great-great-granddaughters, Olivia Grace Hess, of Chilhowie, Sarah Elizabeth Lovingood, of Dublin, and Riley Renea Quesenberry, of Fairlawn; great-grandsons, James David Hess, of Chilhowie, Zachery Daniel Lovingood, of Dublin, and Jacob Brady Quesenberry, of Fairlawn, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at 2 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors, George Freeman, Betty Clark and Delores Cauldwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.  Visiting was held Monday at Stevens Funeral Home, where the family received friends from 6-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Midway Church of God of Prophecy, 102 Layette St., Pulaski, VA 24301.  The family would like to thank Mountain Valley Hospice for their care during her illness.
