Pulaski police and officers with the Claytor Lake Regional Drug Task Force seized drugs and more than $7,000 in cash from a Pulaski home last Thursday.
According to Officer Megan Jennings with Pulaski Police Department, a search warrant was executed at the Magazine Street home “subsequent to an ongoing investigation by Detective (S.J.) Riggins.” During the search, authorities seized $7,713 cash, cocaine, marijuana, a digital scale, a glass smoking device and other drug paraphernalia.
As a result of the search, Jennings said “multiple charges” are pending against Richard Lawrence Lake Jr., 33, of Pulaski “and other involved parties.”
According to court records, Lake pleaded guilty in Pulaski County Circuit Court in 2011 to distributing cocaine in March 2010. He received a suspended 10-year prison sentence.
Records show Lake also pleaded guilty in 2011 to charges of conspiracy to impede a witness, obstruction of justice and malicious wounding stemming from a June 2010 incident. He received a total of 20 years on those three pleas. However, all but one-year, 10 months on the malicious wounding conviction was suspended.
