Maynard Ollen Webb, age 73 of Allisonia, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in the Virginia Veteran Medical Center, Salem.
Born Sept. 3, 1939, he was the son of the late Bruce Webb and Blanche Carnell Webb. He was born and raised in the mountains of Allisonia, which he dearly loved. “Teattle” spent most of his entire life living in Allisonia with the exception of his time in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed the beauty, solitude, and peace of mind in the mountains and he loved bluegrass music.
He is survived by a daughter, Karen Jeanette Webb, of Hiwassee; son, Olen Keith Webb, of Hiwassee; sisters and brothers-in-law, Anna Belle and Toby Turman, of Allisonia, and Glenna and Billy Watson, of Fairlawn; brother and sister-in-law, Carl B. and Audrey R. Webb, of Shiloh, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 21, 2 p.m. in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski, with Elder Ronald Bowman officiating. Entombment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Dublin with the Pulaski VFW Post 1184 conducting military honors.
