On Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, Laddie Hale of Randleman, N.C. went to be with his Lord. He was born April 18, 1931 to Claude Swanson Hale and Marie Jayne Hale in Pulaski County.
Surviving is his wife of 61 years, Bonnie Harris Hale; two sons, Allen Harris Hale and wife, Wanda, of Seagrove, N.C., Claude Swanson Hale III (Trip) and wife, Donna, of High Point, N.C.; one daughter, Donna Hale Grogan and husband, James (Randy) Grogan, of Climax, N.C. Laddie had two grandsons, four granddaughters, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. He is also survived by two brothers, David E. Hale and wife, Jane C. Hale, of Alpharetta, Ga., and Stephen D. Hale and wife, Patricia B. Hale, of Dublin, and one sister, Mary H. Akers and husband, Wilmer E. Akers, of Amelia.
Laddie was a proud truck driver for 44 years prior to his retirement from Harris-Teeter Trucking in Greensboro, N.C. A family visitation was held at Burnett’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Greensboro, N.C. on Saturday Jan. 19, 2013.
There will be a Celebration of Life and memorial service held at Mountain View United Methodist Church near his childhood home on Wilderness Road, Dublin, on Saturday April 20, beginning at 11 a.m.
