Busy season for stage at PCHS

Pulaski County High School will present two musical events this spring, in addition to this weekend’s production of ‘Seussical.’

The art, band, choir and drama departments will present ‘A Night on Broadway,’ which will feature scenes, scenes, skits, musical production numbers and orchestral arrangements, with New York-style cheesecake courtesy of the Culinary Arts class. An art show with works inspired by Broadway and New York City will be in the lobby of the Little Theater before and during the show.

“A Night on Broadway” will be performed Friday April 19 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door, and can be purchased from band, choir and drama students.

The PCHS Theatre Arts department will present their production Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” musical with lavish costuming and additional songs not heard in the film version.

Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays May 3 – 4 and 10 – 11. Friday performances will be at 7 p.m. and Saturday performances will be at 10 a.m. Student and children’s tickets will be $5; adult tickets are $5 in advance or $8 at the door.
