Addie Mae Edwards Cox

Addie Mae Edwards Cox, age 75, of Pulaski, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013 at her home.

Born Sept. 27, 1937 in North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Rupert Conklin Edwards and Minnie Lee Edwards.

Her son, James Howard “Jimmy” Cox Jr.; brothers, Benjamin, Carl, Garnett, Robert and Henry Edwards; sisters, Beulah Edwards, Measie Elizabeth Phillips, Evelyn E. Burton, and half sisters, Viola Hawks and Myrtle Edwards, also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, James Howard Cox, of Pulaski; children, Sheila Anne Cox, of Houston, Texas, David Lee Cox and wife, Karen, of Christiansburg, and Curtis Randy Craig “Snapper” Cox and wife, Shannon Marie, of Pulaski; grandchildren, Curtis Lee Cox and Autumn Elizabeth Cox, Jeremy Cox, Jimbo Cox, Jamie Cox, John Isaac Haas IV, Jennifer Anne Haas, Jeffrey David Haas, Gregory Lee Cox and Aaron Keith Cox; great-grandchildren, Dillon and Nikki, and daughter-in-law, Jackie Cox of Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 2, at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Revs. Dale Akers and Bobby Akers officiating. Interment will follow at the Hufford Cemetery, Mt. Olivet Road, Pulaski.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. Thursday until service time at the funeral home.

    Very sorry for your lost she was a great lady i loved her she wilk be missed very much.

    Heaven has gained a new angel. We will surely miss her smiles and hugs. Prayers are being said for Mae’s family and friends. She was a great lady! The reunions will not be the same without her.
