RADFORD – Two men are in custody and a third is being sought in connection with a Tuesday home invasion robbery in Radford.
Johnie Winfield Hood, 20, of Belspring and De’Lonnie Leon Leggett, 21, of Radford were arrested Wednesday, according to Radford City Police Department Lt. Andy Wilburn. However, Justin Santea Little, 23, of Radford remains at large and Wilburn said he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Wilburn said Hood is being held at New River Valley Regional Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond on charges of conspiracy to break and enter in the nighttime and conspiracy to commit grand larceny. Meanwhile, Leggett is being held at the regional jail without bond on charges of robbery, breaking and entering in the nighttime to commit robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a robbery.
According to Wilburn, warrants have been obtained against Little for robbery, breaking and entering in the nighttime to commit robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a robbery.
Little is described as being a 6-foot, 2-inch black male weighing 192 pounds. Anyone who knows his whereabouts is urged to contact local police by calling 911.
Wilburn said police responded to the 100 block of Copper Beach Drive around 8:38 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a report of a home invasion robbery. The two victims reported that at least two males wearing bandanas on their face had entered the unlocked residence and demanded various items, including jewelry.
The victims reported that at least one of the robbers was armed with a handgun and pistol-whipped one of the victims in the back of the head. Wilburn said the injured victim refused medical treatment.
