North Truman (NT) Selvey Jr., age 82 of Pulaski, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013.
North was born in Princeton, W. Va. March 20, 1930 to North Sr. And Esther (Alley) Selvey. He graduated from the University of West Virginia with a degree in Electrical Engineering and worked as an engineer for McDonnell Douglas for 35 years. He enjoyed golf, bowling, reading and home remodeling projects. As a proud member of the United States Navy, he served on the aircraft carrier USS Valley Forge CV45 during the Korean War.
North is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Lou (Minnick); sons, Brian (Debbie) Selvey, North III (Amy) and David Selvey; daughter, Chrystal (Sam) Rutigliano; two brothers, Bob (Dainese) Selvey of Richmond, and Ben (Eileen) Selvey of Radford, and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family and friends.
Services will be held at Seagle and Sons Funeral Home, Pulaski, Saturday, March 9. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. with service to follow. Dr. C.R. Conner of First Pentecostal Holiness Church will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675, or the family has requested potted plants or flower arrangements which can be taken home after the service. As per his request, Mr. Selvey will be cremated after the service.
