James Edward Covey, age 64, of Pulaski, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 in Montgomery Regional Hospital, Blacksburg.
Born Sept. 30, 1948 in Pulaski, he is the son of the late Edith Louise Oakes Covey. He was retired from Jefferson Mills with over 30 years of service.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Marie Gallimore Covey of Pulaski; son, Michael Gallimore and wife, Donna, of Austinville; grandchildren, Jonathan Gallimore of Pulaski and Contessa Gallimore of Austinville; brothers, Marvin Covey of Pulaski and Larry Covey of Pulaski, and sister, Carolyn Hubbard of Wytheville.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 20, 2 p.m., at Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski, with Pastor Mary Morris and Pastor Donald Crowder officiating. Interment will follow in Ray Cemetery, Pulaski.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, 1 p.m. until service time at Bower Funeral Home.
