The Celtic group Ceol Leinn will kick off the St. Patrick’s Day weekend with some Irish cheer at Pulaski Theatre Friday, March 15.
The theatre, 14 Main St. in Pulaski, invites everyone to “hang out, have a beer and tap some toes” during the concert, which gets underway at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Ceol Leinn, which means “music with us,” always proves to be a hit at the theatre. The band features the Great Highland Bagpipes, along with acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin, bass, and percussion instruments.
They describe their music as traditional “world music,” that is both romantic and stirring. It draws from the Scottish, Irish and Celtic heritage. They explore the roots of bluegrass and American gospel, and particularly that of the Scottish highlanders.
