WYTHE COUNTY – A tip led investigators to arrest two people on prostitution charges in Wythe County Thursday.
Chief Deputy Keith Dunagan said sheriff’s investigators and special agents with the Virginia State Police made the arrest at the Wytheville’s Motel 6 after receiving a tip around 8:30 p.m.
Deborah Joyce Carner, 43, of 204A Maple Ave., Rural Retreat, is charged with prostitution and use of a vehicle to commit an unlawful sex act, said Dunagan. A male, Kelly Neal Montgomery, 40, of 586 Hilltown Road in Fries was charged with aiding in prostitution.
All three charges are misdemeanors.
Carner and Montgomery were both released from custody on unsecured bond. They are scheduled for arraignment in Wythe County General District Court Feb. 11 at 8 a.m.
