Parrott man released from hospital

A 31-year-old Pulaski County man critically injured in a Jan. 24 altercation in Parrott is no longer hospitalized at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Hosptial spokesman Eric Earnhart said Robert Gravely has been discharged from the facility.

According to Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Mike Alderman, Gravely was hit in the head with a tire tool during a 9:45 p.m. altercation at 6419 Parrott Mountain Road.

Marshall Franklin “Mark” Metz III, 25, of Dublin, is charged with malicious wounding in connection with the incident. A preliminary hearing originally set for March 25 has now been rescheduled to April 1 at 1:30 p.m. in Pulaski County General District Court.
