Men charged in Montgomery burglaries

MONTGOMERY COUNTY – Two men have been arrested in connection with “multiple” burglaries in Montgomery County.

According to a press release from Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Robert New, Justin D. Stump, 25, of Elliston and Patrick S. Reed, 25, of Shawsville are alleged to have broken into several homes and businesses, stealing tools, electronics, collectibles and other items.

According to court records, Stump is charged with possession of burglary tools, possession of stolen property, property destruction and four counts each of breaking and entering and grand larceny. He is being held without bond in Montgomery County Jail.

Reed is charged with one count each of breaking and entering, grand larceny and possession of burglary tools. He was released on bond, said New.

The burglaries occurred in Christiansburg and other parts of Montgomery County during the months of January and February, according to New and court records.
