James Thomas Lefler, age 77 of Draper, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 in Lewis Gale Hospital – Pulaski. He was born Feb. 13, 1935 in Pulaski, and was the son of the late Ina Davis Lefler and Claude William Lefler.
Mr. Lefler was a retired farmer and a graduate of Dublin High School Class of 1955. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ann Firebaugh Lefler, Oct. 18, 2012. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Damon and Dennis, and one sister, Beatrice Gravely.
He is survived by a son, Thomas (Mark) Lefler and his wife Crystal, of Draper; a daughter, Angie L. Clark and her husband Bruce of Pulaski; a brother, Junior Lefler and his wife Lucille of Draper; sisters, Beulah Shinault of Dublin, Marie DeHart of Pulaski, Margaret Huff of Hiwassee, and Helen Frazier of Pulaski. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Travis, Tyler, Brianna, Harlie and Autumn.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Feb. 3, 2 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with the Rev. George Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Christian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home.
