Howard (Disel) Frazier
On Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, our precious and loving father took a heavenly flight to bewith the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Howard (Disel) Frazier was born March 21, 1933 in Pulaski County. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He received his early education at Calfee Elementary Training School in Pulaski County and attended high school at Christiansburg Institute in Montgomery County. Howard was well known for his painting and refurbishing antique furniture. Mr. Frazier painted many homes in the community; his most outstanding work was at First Baptist.
Howard (Disel) was very outspoken and loved to be amongst people, full of laughter and wonderful sense of humor. He really loved making people laugh!
During his long days of sickness he became closer to the Lord and mentioned that “my days are getting shorter and I’m about to walk through that heavenly door.”
Howard was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Gaither Rose; brother, Rev. William Frazier Jr.; sister, Mildred Randolph and sister-in-law, Carrie Frazier.
Howard leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Millle (Nathaniel) Slaughter of Winston-Salem, N.C. and Helen (John) Leeper of Pulaski; eight grandchildren, Ray McClanhan Jr., Katesha (Ahumar)Goggins, Kandace Slaughter, Chasity Clark, Micheal Ramsey, Amia Clark and Austin Leeper; seven great-grandchildren, Hailey Littion, Sahniyah Coggins, Jayden Slaughter, Reazon Coggins, Tyrean Ramsey, Zavien Coggins and Jaavione Slaughter; a loving, caring and devoted cousin Catherine Brown and many wonderful relatives and Special Friends.
Funeral service will be Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 220 Magazine St., Pulaski, with Pastor Gary Hash officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time for service. Burial will be at Pinehurst Cemetery.
