Local public offices, utilities and banks have announced closings in association with the upcoming Lee-Jackson and Martin Luther King Day observances.
Town offices in both Pulaski and Dublin, and Pulaski County Administrative offices will be closed Friday, Jan. 18 and Monday, Jan. 21. Pulaski County Public Schools will hold a teacher workday Jan. 18 and schools will be closed Jan. 21 in observance of Martin Luther King Day.
Garbage scheduled for pick up in Dublin on Friday, Jan. 18 will be picked up on Thursday, Jan. 17, along with Thursday’s regular pick up. Garbage scheduled for pick up on Monday, Jan. 21 will be picked up on Tuesday, Jan. 22 along with Tuesday’s regular pick up.
Pulaski County Library System will also be closed both Jan. 18 and 21.
Pulaski County Public Service Authority office will be closed both Jan. 18 and 21. Large item drop sites in Dublin on Bagging Plant Road, Mason Street in Fairlawn and Dora Highway in Pulaski will also be closed Jan. 18 and 21. However, there will be garbage collection service on Jan. 18 and 21. Customers are asked to have their garbage out by 7 a.m. both days.
Pulaski Post Office and Pulaski Area Transit (PAT) will be closed Jan. 21.
The following Pulaski and Dublin area banks will be closed Jan. 21: National Bank of Blacksburg, BB&T, Bank of America, Carter Bank and Trust, Wells Fargo and StellarOne.
