Bobby Lynn O’Dell, 75, of Draper, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013.
He was born June 19, 1937 in Pulaski County and was the son of the late Arthur Leachman O’Dell and Cynthia Alice Hawley O’Dell. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Herman, Curtis, Turus, Hebron, Bernice and Jack O’Dell, and by sisters, Haskel O. Horton, Mary Alice O. Dalton and Phyllis O. Dalton.
Mr. O’Dell was a past employee of the former Klopman Mills, Dublin, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Surviving are his wife, Irene Lawson O’Dell of Draper; children and spouses, Neshia O. and Tony Dalton of Draper, Daymond L. and Regina O’Dell of Draper and Kyneathia O. and Les Semones of Hillsville; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Hawley O’Dell of Pulaski and Jeff (J.D.) O’Dell of Portland, Ore., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 11 a.m. from Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, with Raymond O’Dell and Pastor Bobby Osborne officiating. Burial was in Memorial Christian Church Cemetery, Draper, with Pulaski VFW Post 1184 conducting the graveside rites. Visiting was held Tuesday at Stevens Funeral Home, where the family received friends 6-8 p.m.
