Tickets almost gone for ‘Elvis’ concert

If you’re wanting to see Elvis Presley tribute artist Ryan Pelton when he returns to the Pulaski Theatre Dec. 14, you’d better get your tickets soon.

Judy Ison, executive director of the Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley, said fewer than 75 tickets remain unsold from the more than 500 that were available for the show. Pelton’s last performance at the theatre, a Valentines show in February 2011, sold out and Ison is anticipating this show will, too.

Since the concert is so close to Christmas, Ison said Pelton will be including in his performance some of the Christmas songs Elvis was known for singing, such as “Blue Christmas.”

Pelton will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $22 at the door.

The show is co-sponsored by the Fine Arts Center and Friends of the Pulaski Theatre.

Pelton is an internationally-known performer and recently completed filming a movie in Hollywood about Elvis. His unique show includes depictions of Elvis at all stages of his career, from the 1950s to the 1970s.

Tickets are available at the Fine Arts Center, Pulaski; Martins Pharmacy, Pulaski; Pulaski County Visitors Center in Dublin, and Barry’s Music in Radford.  The Fine Arts Center, 21 W. Main St., offers purchases on most major credit cards.

For more information on the show, call the Fine Arts Center at 980-7363. For more information on Ryan Pelton, visit his website  ryanpelton.com.
