A preliminary hearing for two suspects in a September murder in the Parrott Community has been continued to February.

Roland Keith Wilson Jr., 41, of Belspring and Matthew Earnest Arnold, 21, of Dublin were slated to be in Pulaski County General District Court Monday afternoon for a preliminary hearing in the case. However, the hearing had to be continued because the prosecution has not yet received the autopsy report on the victim, Stephen Harrison Bane, 50.

The new court date is Monday, Feb. 4, at 1:30 p.m.

Bane’s body was found around 2:30 a.m. Sept. 27 in an abandoned house on Creek Road in the Parrott Community. He was last seen alive Sept. 24.

Pulaski County Sheriff Jim Davis said the investigation determined Wilson and Bane became involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical. He noted that Bane’s death appeared to be the result of a “violent confrontation.”
