Lady Cougars send holiday cheer to troops

The Pulaski County Lady Cougars are still working hard to find their way this season, but they are also working hard off the court.  After conducting an incredibly successful canned food drive to support The Dream Center in Pulaski, the Lady Cougars are working on lifting spirits in a different way for Christmas.

Assisted by several other groups of students, the Lady Cougars have personally addressed over 500 Christmas cards that will be sent to troops currently deployed to Afghanistan.  The team also remembered some local soldiers who are currently serving, and on Friday assistant coach Karen Frazier mailed out five cards to local troops who won’t be home for Christmas.

While everybody would certainly love to see the Lady Cougars win every game they play, with projects like the two mentioned here no one can ever question their heart.
