Evelyn Rose Haga Pennington, age 75 of Dublin, passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2012 at her home.
Born Sept. 6, 1937 in Dublin, she was the daughter of the late Conly and Ethel Chinault Haga. Her two brothers, Hubert Haga and E. C. Haga and two sisters, Margaret Hardy, and Minnie Thompson also preceded her in death.
She was a member of Dublin Presbyterian Church, active in the Dublin Christmas baskets committee and did babysitting in her home for a number of years.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Aaron Kenneth Pennington, of Dublin; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan Pennington, of Dublin, Mary and Scott Mabry, of Barren Springs, and Tina and Wayne Hoosier, of Radford; grandchildren, Aaron Wesley Taylor and wife, Sarah, Andrew Hoosier, Jenna Hoosier and Rebecca Pennington; great-granddaughter, Peyton Madison Taylor and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She is also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lois Simmerman, of Barren Springs, Dixie and Tom Garvin, of Sebring, Fla. and Geraldine and Tommy Roe, of Kingsport, Tenn.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 20, 2 p.m., at Dublin Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Michael Blouse and Rev. Andrew Taylor-Troutman officiating. Interment will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin.
