A man being sought for attempted murder in a September stabbing in the Caseknife Road area of Pulaski was arrested Wednesday afternoon.
Johnny Raymond Thomas, 42, of Pulaski, was arrested without incident in a cabin on Cox’s Hollow Road around 3:30. Pulaski police said he “surrendered peacefully” and is being held without bond at New River Valley Regional Jail.
In addition to attempted murder, Thomas also is charged with felonious assault with intent to maim or kill.
According to Officer Megan Jennings, police received a tip on Thomas’ whereabouts at 3:23 p.m. Officers from the police department and Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Cox’s Hollow community and found Thomas at the cabin.
On Sept. 25, police found a man “bleeding profusely” from a stab wound to his left rib cage area when they responded to a possible malicious wounding report in the 1500 block of Caseknife Road. Jennings said the victim indicated he had been attacked and stabbed.
The victim’s identity has not been released.
