Southbound motorists could encounter lane closures on I-81 in Montgomery County through Thursday.
According to Virginia Department of Transportation, lanes will be closed between mile markers 120 and 125, weather permitting. Work will take place between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. each day.
The lanes will be closed to allow for shoulder work in the area of the truck climbing lane project.
