Johnny Wayne “Pooh” Henley

Johnny Wayne “Pooh” Henley, age 57, of Hiwassee, passed away Thursday, Oct.18, 2012, in LewisGale Hospital-Pulaski.

 Born Aug. 9, 1955 in Pulaski, he was the son of Dorothy Watson Henley and the late Johnny Ward Henley. He was a truck driver for various companies.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Henley, of Hiwassee; mother, Dorothy W. Henley, of Hiwassee; brothers and sisters, Dave Henly and wife, Sandra, of Florida, Aubrey Henley and wife, Sandy, of Florida, Gayle Clark and husband, Larry, of Narrows, Janet Pickett and husband, Donnie, of Austinville, Danny Henley and wife, Cindy, of Dublin, and Doris Henley, and husband, John, of Hillsville; special aunt, Earline Watson, of Hiwassee; numerous nieces and nephews; step-children, Michael W. Foutz, Alicia Nicole Foutz, and Jessee W. Collins, and step-grandson, Nathaniel Collins.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, Oct. 21, 3 p.m., at Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski, with Pastor Ruth Ann Henley and Pastor Doug Ballew officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 p.m. until service time at Bower Funeral Home.

    Danny just learned of the passing of Wayne. So sorry for the loss in your family. Only really met him when he rocked the home for Ed and I in Draper but he had such a kind way. Praying for you all.

    the news of pooh passin is a huge shock he is my sons grand father and he will truley be missed by me and nathaniel wayne collins he was a blessing to be around i just found out about this nd im so sorry he was a great man nd i wish we could have been there we send our prayers and nathaniel sends his love to his pawpaw.

    will miss him he was a humble dear freind everybody on that side of the river knew the real pooh bear and will miss him dearly him charlie and bobby sitting talking bout us now!
