Although a few registrar offices in Virginia are closed today due to weather-related issues stemming from Hurricane Sandy, Pulaski County’s office is open and accepting in-person absentee voting.
According to the State Board of Elections, some media reports indicated in-person absentee voting has been cancelled across the Commonwealth Tuesday. However, that is not the case.
Only a few offices, primarily in northern Virginia, had to close Tuesday.
For an updated list of offices that are open and closed, visit www.sbe.virginia.gov/EmergencyClosings.html. If a particular office is not included on the list, those who wish to cast an in-person ballot today should call the office directly to confirm it is open.
