Ralph Edward Phillips, 70, of Pulaski, passed away Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at his home.
Born May 4, 1942 in Bland County, he was the son of the late Russell “Scott” Phillips and Cassie Chester “Granny” Phillips.
He was retired from Pulaski County Public Schools with 33 years of service where he was a mechanic in the bus shop.
Surviving are his son, Edward “Eddie” Phillips, of Hiwassee; sister, Willie M. Hart-Granite, of Fall, N.C.; many special friends, Loretta Nester, Bobby Ramey and wife, Phyllis, Clyde Mitchell, and Jerry Duncan and wife, Patricia; special caregiver, Brenda Riggins, of Hiwassee, and special nephews, David Hart and Tracy Arnold.
Funeral services will be held today, Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2 p.m., at Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. David Hart and Sister Betty Guynn officiating.
Interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery, Pulaski County.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at Bower Funeral Home.
