INDIAN VALLEY – Burnett B. Marshall, 98, of Indian Valley, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Dolly P. Marshall of the home; daughters, Joan Marshall Eads of Pulaski and Patsy Ann Marshall of Roanoke; sons, Alfred F. Pearce Jr. of the home and Ronald W. Pearce and wife, Cheryl, of Kernersville, N.C.; grandchildren, John Christopher Eads Sr. and wife, Donna, of Pulaski and Nicole D. Wood of Roanoke; great-grandchildren, John Christopher Eads Jr. and wife, Tember, of Fincastle, Benjamin H. Eads and Lori Hale of Dublin, Kristin T. Wood, Justin N. Wood, Megan H. Wood and Teagan M. Wood, all of Roanoke; step-great-granddaughter, Holly Riner of Pulaski; special niece, Bonnie Outten of Indian Valley, and numerous other loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 22, 11 a.m., at Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Joe Cox, Pastor Linda Motley and Pastor Terry Sternberg officiating. Interment will follow in the Cox Cemetery with military rites by Hillsville V.F.W. Grover King Post 1115 and Hillsville Masonic Lodge 193.
