Walter Conley Bell, 80, of Pulaski, passed away early Thursday morning in LewisGale Hospital-Pulaski.
He was born on March 21, 1932 in Ivanhoe and was the son of the late Roy Calvin and Lois Winesett Bell. He is also preceded in death by his wife, June Ryan Bell, and grandson, Mathew Scott Bell.
Walter was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was also a retired employee of Coleman and Pulaski Furniture.
He is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, Eddie Bell, Jamie Bell, and Kenneth and Tina Bell. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Derrick Bell, Dillon Bell, and Hannah Bell.
A graveside service will be held Monday, Aug. 20, 2 p.m., from the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, with the Rev. Jim Linkous officiating.
The family will be gathering at the home, 1521 Westwood Dr. Pulaski. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road, Suite 106A, Roanoke, VA 24018.
