RADFORD – Carol Jean Davis, age 61, of Radford, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, as the result of an auto accident in Dublin.
Born July 5, 1951 in Pulaski, she is the daughter of Minnie Harris Davis and the late Darce Benjamin Davis.
Carol was a graduate of Radford University with a bachelor of science degree in social services. She was retired from New River Valley Juvenile Detention Center with 37 years of service as a childcare supervisor. She was employed by Anderson Merchandisers. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Surviving are her mother, Minnie Harris Davis of Pulaski; brother, Larry Davis and Sue Smith of Floyd; close friends, Rhonda Houchins and Buck Ratliff, and many cousins, co-workers and friends.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 28, 7 p.m., in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski, with Pastor Mike Laster officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 6 p.m. until the service hour, at Bower Funeral Home, 1631 Bob White Blvd.
