Ann ‘Sweetie’ Lee McGehee Long

Ann “Sweetie” Lee McGehee Long of Pulaski passed away Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012 at Wheatland Hills in Radford.

Her long membership and participation in Christ Episcopal Church of Pulaski, where she served on the Altar Guild, exemplified her love of the Lord.

Her parents were the late Stuart Dickinson and Annie Lee Carper McGehee of Roanoke. Marvin Painter “Bud” Long, her beloved husband of many years; her sisters, Mary Andrews McGehee Dollman, Corinne Carper McGehee Murray, and great nephew Carter Lee Murray preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann Long of Hendersonville, N.C.; niece and nephews, Dr. Rosalyn Lee Murray Lester (Dr. C. Ned Lester) of Blacksburg, William Seldon Murray III (Carolyn Raines Murray) of Memphis, Tenn., Thomas Stuart Dollman (Rebecca) of Athens, Ala., and Christopher Lee Dollman (Jan) of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; many grandnieces and grand nephews, Jonathan Craig Lester (Kerri) of Hilton Head, S.C., Elizabeth Seldon Lester (Wulff Piotraschke) of San Francisco, Calif., the Rev. William (Bill) Seldon Murray IV (Jessica) of Memphis, Tenn,, and Corinne May Murray Gardino (Jeff) of Memphis, Tenn.; Thomas Stuart Dollman Jr. of Athens Ala., and great-grand nieces and nephews, Courtney and Paige Lester, Isabella, Annesley, Genevieve, and Charlotte Gardino, Mose and Abe Murray.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 22, 5-7 p.m., at Stevens Funeral Home, 815 Randolph Ave., Pulaski. The funeral will be held Thursday, Aug. 23, 10 a.m., at Christ Episcopal Church, Pulaski. Interment will follow at Evergreen Burial Park in Roanoke.
