Thomas Guy Pack of Fort Myers, Fla., formerly of Dublin, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 9, 2012.
He was born in Hinton, W.Va. April 10, 1926 and was the son of the late Marie Alderson and Robert Guy Pack. He was also preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Lucille Hinkle Pack, and his brother, Robert Alderson Pack.
Mr. Pack was an elder at Dublin Presbyterian Church for many years. He was an instrumentation technician, as well as a watchmaker and businessman in Dublin. He served on the Dublin Town Council and enjoyed many activities, including fishing, ice skating, swimming, and dancing.
Mr. Pack is survived by his wife of over 10 years, Betty; his sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and his wife, Martha, and Kent and his wife, Katie; seven granddaughters, Lindsey Douglas, Whitney Gregory, Ashley Mills, Kelsey Purks, Haley Pack, Kelly and Calton, Sarah Nichols; four great-grandchildren; Mr. Pack’s sister, Ruth Ellen Martin and her husband, Sid, and his sister-in-law, Clara Pack.
A memorial service will be held at Dublin Presbyterian Church Sunday, July 8, 3 p.m., with the Rev. Charles A. McFarlin officiating. A reception in the church fellowship hall will follow the service.
