Evelyn Schrader Wilson, age 83, of Pulaski County, died Thursday, July 5, 2012, in LewisGale Hospital – Montgomery.
She was born Jan. 9, 1929 in Pulaski, and was the daughter of the late Bertha Aust Schrader and Thomas Wilmer Schrader. She was a retired executive secretary to the commander of Radford Army Ammunition Plant, was a graduate of Pulaski High School Class of 1946, was a long-time member of Jordan’s Chapel United Methodist Church, and a past president of the Business and Professional Women’s Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a niece, Patsy Ann Schrader Morris; a nephew, Harry F. Folden Jr. and his late wife, Gloria Jean Folden; brothers, Stanley Garnet Schrader and his two late wives, Katherine Edmonds Schrader and Virginia Palmer Schrader, and Walter Howard Scharder Sr. and his late wife, Mary Anne Craig Schrader, and a sister, Gladys Dawn Folden and her late husband, Harry F. Folden Sr.
She is survived by niece’s, Anita Louise Schrader of Blacksburg, Peggy Dawn Folden Lewark and her husband, Fred, of Roanoke, Gloria Jean Folden Bateman and her husband, Wade, of Chesapeake, Susan Anne Schrader May and her husband, Joe, of Atlanta, Ga.; nephew, Walter Howard (Rocky) Jr. of Pulaski; nephews and great nieces, Evelyn Marie Morris of Florida, Vivian Ann Morris of Florida, Tim Morris, Florida, David and Lisa Lewark of Stafford, Candace Folden of Greensboro, N.C., Anne Elizabeth Schrader of Richmond and Andrew Elliot Schrader of Pulaski.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 8, 2012, 2 p.m., at Seagle Funeral Home with Capt. Susan May of the Salvation Army officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
