Elva McCoy Semones, 81, of Dublin, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012.
She was a member of Parrott Church of God and retired from RAAP. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years in April of 2011; Otha Early Semones and her parents, Raymond C. and Mary Etta Page McCoy.
Survivors include her son, Raymond Hamilton of Fairlawn; daughter and son-in-law, Cissy and Dennis Bane of Pulaski; seven sisters, Geraldine Foley of Ohio, Wanda Price of Christiansburg, Mayola Duncan of Floyd, Isabelle Graves of Blacksburg, Nancy Ritter and Bettie Gravley, both of Parrott, and Dorothy Nester of Fairlawn; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 2, 11 a.m., at Parrott Church of God, with the Rev. Kenneth Alley and the Rev. Eddie Dalton officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 1, from 6-8 p.m., at the church.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Parrott Church of God.
