Sandra Kay Rowe Murphy, 61, of Dublin, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012, following a long illness.
She was born Oct. 10, 1950 in Minden, W.Va. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Alice Rowe. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, nanny and great nanny. Affectionately known as “Sissy,” she was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, a brother, Tom Rowe, also preceded her in death.
Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 44 years, Virgil Roy Murphy; two devoted daughters, Terri Lynn Murphy Carter and Tammy K. Murphy; three grandsons, Matthew Thomas Murphy, Justin Scott Murphy and Scott Fitzgerald Carter; three granddaughters, Cassandra Lynn Banks, Allison Lorrine Banks and Chyanne Renee Banks; three great-grandchildren, Ava Ireland Murphy, Jariah Bree Banks and Jordan Scott Murphy; two brothers, Edward Mitchell (Lana) Rowe of Muncie, Ind., and Vernon (Michelle) Crouch of Christiansburg, and a host of loving family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 28, 2 p.m., at Seagle Funeral Home, with the Rev. J.T. Horton officiating. Interment will be private.
