Elizabeth Virginia Duncan Hughes, 84, of Pulaski, died Saturday, May 5, 2012.
She was born Jan. 21, 1928 in Pulaski County to the late Claudia Mae Robertson Duncan and Bert Caldwell Duncan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis L. Hughes, and a grandson, Joseph D. Hughes.
She is survived by two sons, Johnny (Wayne) Hughes of Pulaski and Ray (Jimmy) Hughes and his wife, Bonnie, of Pulaski; two daughters, Nancy H. Hughes and her friend, Bruce McDonley, of Pulaski and Alice Vollgraff and her husband, Robert; three sisters, Cora Jones of Dayton, Ohio, Beatrice L. Mitchell and her husband, Steve, of Pulaski and Ethel Sirt of Bennetsville, S.C.; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 9, at 2 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
