Edith Valentine Taylor Tilson Holman, age 95, of Pulaski, passed away Friday, May, 25, 2012, in LewisGale Hospital–Pulaski.
Born Feb. 14, 1917, in Pulaski, she was the daughter of the late Ward Taylor and Alice Duncan Taylor. Her husbands, Edward Fulton Tilson and Kenneth Eugene Holman; five brothers, Lewis, Stanley, Billy, Fred and Ed Taylor, and one sister, Maeola Taylor, also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children, Virgie Kirkman and husband, Odell, of Ramseur, N.C., Linda Sciame and husband, Vince, of Las Vegas, Nev., Nancy Haas and fiancé, Bruce, of Pulaski, Gary L. Taylor and wife, Judy, of Highpoint, N.C., Edward “Buddy” Tilson and wife, Brenda, of Thomasville, N.C. and Carol Ann Perkins of Pulaski; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and special friend, Grady, of Pulaski.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, 2 p.m., in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. Dale Akers officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Pulaski.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
