Annabel Virginia Duncan Hancock, 79, of 920 Bland St., Pulaski, died early Tuesday morning May 15, 2012, in LewisGale Hospital-Pulaski.
She was born in Pulaski on Aug. 12, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Jessie Clayburn Duncan and Virgie Ellen Long Duncan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Ralph Hancock Sr.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Lewis and Jean Hancock, Pulaski and Fred Ralph Hancock Jr. and Barbara Hancock, Pulaski; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Roger Long, Dublin, Brenda and David Gravely, Pulaski, Ellen and Roger Bond, Barren Springs, Marie and Kenneth McGrady, Dublin, and Kathy and Joe Davis, Dublin; sister, Rosie Taylor, Floyd; brother, Robert Duncan, Pulaski; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and special pet, Frosty.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 17, 2 p.m., at Stevens Funeral Chapel, with the Revs. Mike Collins and Richard Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Strader’s Chapel Cemetery, Little Creek.
Visiting will be today, Wednesday, May 16, at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ken Pendergrast and the nurses and staff at LewisGale Hospital-Pulaski for the exceptional care given to Mrs. Hancock during her illness.
